Several times i read in newspapers the word'cloud computing'.Since then i was wondering that what it is all about ,what it means and what its purpose.I thought it as a platform,as a technology,a service or what. I read about it at several places under the titles like'emerging cloud computing','the era of cloud computing' and etc.So,today i get the chance to explore all about this new term in my own tech dictionary.
We can say that cloud computing is a service being provided by cloud computing service providers. A very simple example to learn about this is..Suppose there is an IT firm and there are several employees working on computer systems,for each employee you have to manage the hardware nd software for their particular needs.The software has to be genuine and licensed.If any new person is entering your firm you again have to manage a piece of licensed softwar for hi8s/her also.This all seems to be a very tough job.
Morover you have to pay a large amout of money for this software whereas you are already paying a lot for the hardware also.Also sometimes there is a kind of software or application which is to be used occasionally ii Your firm,for such items it is very painfull to pay a huge amout,at this time you can think of hiring this one from somewhere so as to reduce the maintenance as well as developing costs. So,this is the place where Cloud Computing really comes to help out.
The cloud computing service providers lend you or say give you there software on lease.You don't have to pay much for this you have just borrowed the software from them and have to pay for just using there software.Morover,there are no security issues to be worried about this software you are using as the software itself resides on the servers of this service providing company.
An example of this kind of service is that you must be using email application.do we owned this service or application.No but instead we are using this service provided by google,hotmail or yahoo. This cloud computing works on the client server architecture,where we are the clients being using the services provided by the server on another side,this server side which have a lot of serves,databases and systems on the network are collectively known to form cloud computing.
So,colud computing has totally changed the entire IT sector completely.I hope although not completely but yet i was a little able to tell about what this all about.I'll explore about this more and will surely continue to write about it.
